01 · The origin01 · Der Ursprung It started as a household project with my husband. Es begann als Haushaltsprojekt mit meinem Mann.

Before it was an app, it was our kitchen problem. We wanted to reduce the workload at home, so I built an n8n flow: Google Calendar to WhatsApp, plus a household manager agent in Claude that either of us could update by just writing to it. Certain commands, or plain sentences, and the agent kept the household state. Bevor es eine App war, war es unser Küchenproblem. Wir wollten die Arbeit zu Hause reduzieren, also baute ich einen n8n-Flow: Google Calendar zu WhatsApp, plus einen Haushalts-Manager-Agenten in Claude, den wir beide per Nachricht aktualisieren konnten. Bestimmte Befehle, oder einfache Sätze, und der Agent führte den Haushaltszustand.

Then the harder question: what about the work nobody sees? The planning, the remembering, the mental load, the part that statistically lives in women's heads. Automating the calendar was easy. Pricing the invisible work, and teaching AI skills while lifting it, that became LightenAI. Dann die schwierigere Frage: Was ist mit der Arbeit, die niemand sieht? 03 · The process03 · Der Prozess I am not a developer. That was the point. Ich bin keine Entwicklerin. Genau das war der Punkt.

04 · The architecture04 · Die Architektur Local-first by choice, not by budget. Local-first aus Überzeugung, nicht aus Budgetgründen.

There is no server to trust, because there is no server. For an app that holds the inside of someone's head, the strongest privacy promise is architectural: everything stays in the browser. A PWA install handles iOS storage eviction. Three languages are first-class citizens, not translations bolted on at the end. The tool choice followed the same logic: Lovable for speed, ElevenLabs for warmth, Claude for rigor, all on tiers anyone could afford. Es gibt keinen Server, dem man vertrauen muss, weil es keinen Server gibt. Für eine App, die das Innere eines Kopfes hält, ist das stärkste Datenschutzversprechen architektonisch: Alles bleibt im Browser. Eine PWA-Installation löst das iOS-Speicherproblem. Drei Sprachen sind vollwertige Bürger, keine am Ende angeschraubten Übersetzungen. Die Tool-Wahl folgte derselben Logik: Lovable für Tempo, ElevenLabs für Wärme, Claude für Strenge, alles auf Tiers, die sich jede leisten kann.

05 · The pedagogy05 · Die Pädagogik Every action is a lesson with a name. Jede Aktion ist eine Lektion mit Namen.

The teaching model is deliberate: every AI concept gets a two-line definition, a household analogy, its real-world name, and one sentence you can say at work. The course of the app ends in a graduation and a card ready for a CV. And one humor rule I refuse to break: jokes about situations and objects, never about people. Das Lehrmodell ist bewusst gebaut: Jedes KI-Konzept bekommt eine Zwei-Zeilen-Definition, eine Haushalts-Analogie, seinen echten Namen und einen Satz, den man bei der Arbeit sagen kann. Der Weg durch die App endet mit einem Abschluss und einer Karte, bereit für den Lebenslauf. Und eine Humorregel, die ich nicht breche: Witze über Situationen und Dinge, nie über Menschen.

LightenAI is open: free access until 15 October. The Mental Load calculator on this site uses the same rates and the same math as the app. What this project proves: a non-developer, working with AI agents as a team and treating free tiers as a design constraint, can ship a trilingual, voiced, privacy-first product.
